sale regulations

Cattle:

All cattle presented for sale require 2 tags and a valid passport signed by the current owner/keeper.

All cattle presented must be healthy, and be in compliance with Animal Health & Welfare rules.

Tuberculosis Testing (TB):

All cattle over 6 weeks must have been TB tested in the previous 12 months.

BVD Testing:

All cattle must have had a BVD test.

Brucellosis Testing:

This test is no longer a requirement.

Horned Cattle:

The Mart can not sell horned cattle.  Cattle presented with horns will be penned seperatly and will not be sold through the Sales Ring.

Sheep:

All sheep presented for sale require the owner/keeper to have a completed Dispatch Form (new form issued from 1st June 2019 with 2 bar codes) for each Lot. (all older dispatch not acceptable from 1st June 2019)

Lambs must have 2 tag,(from 1st June 2019)  all sheep require 2 tags 1 to be EID tag as per Department of Agriculture rules.

Sellers:

All Sellers must complete a Letter of Engagement, in compliance with the Property Services Regulatory Authority rules.

This is a one-off document that formalises the agreement between the Seller and the Mart.  The Forms can be gotten from any member of the office staff.
